BORGOGNA

BORGOGNA draws its inspiration from the ancient stone of Burgundy, France. The stone in this region was formed in the marine sedimentary environment of the Jurassic period, rich in calcite, clay, and fossils. It has a fine texture and natural patterns, making it a natural stone that combines deep historical heritage with strong regional character.

Due to the periodic fluctuations of the marine environment, the stone surface developed irregular spots and linear textures, where clear outlines of marine organisms' fossils can be seen. Oyster shell fragments and ammonite imprints are commonly embedded within. The Casaferra designers conducted millimeter-level meticulous analysis of the concentric growth rings of oyster shells and the spiral patterns of ammonites, skillfully incorporating these marine fossil elements into the tile design.

At the same time, they applied matte finish and fine carving techniques to the surface, creating a visually soft appearance with subtle tactile roughness. This perfectly captures the rustic and natural feel of Burgundy stone, exuding a unique aura of understated luxury.
