We have long been searching for a tile series that serves as an entry point to narrate a city. It is not merely about the people who live there, nor the events that unfold within it. Nor is it necessarily confined to the city's culture, art, fashion, or cuisine. What we truly hope to capture is something more elemental: its landmark buildings, the bustling roads paved with compressed gravel and stone, the subway stations clad in terrazzo of varying colors and vibrant hues. These elements often preserve a city's past, present, and even future—recording its daily transformations and etching scene after scene of our personal impressions of the city. Ultimately, this pursuit led us to launch this very series.

Returning to simplicity, restoring the essence—using the most basic and unadorned building materials to explore the most primordial aesthetic principles, we interpret a sense of modern naturalness within spaces. From gravel to concrete, from concrete to porcelain tiles, the evolution of materials mirrors the rapid shifts in people's ways of living with the changing times. Yet the one thing that remains unchanging is eternal beauty.
